Red Cross Hall Palm Beach - Sacred Yoga Meditations for Stress Relief and Relaxation

New Programs Coming soon ...! Presented by YMSPB
Effects of chronic stress
The body doesn’t distinguish between physical and NEW psychological threats. When you’re stressed over a busy schedule, an argument with a friend, a traffic jam, or a mountain of bills, your body reacts just as strongly as if you were facing a life-or-death situation.
Long-term exposure to stress can lead to serious health problems. Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, contribute to infertility, and speed up the aging process. Long-term stress can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety and depression.
Meditation
Has been practiced for thousands of years. Meditation originally - was meant to help deepen understanding of the sacred and mystical (spiritual) and is highly recommended as the preferred method for self realisation for this age.

These days, meditation is also commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction. It is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine.

Meditation as practiced by the Vaisnava yoga masters, past and present, produces a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. These are some of the naturally occurring side benefits you will experience through the practice of this very beautiful, ancient meditation. Genuine sacred sound meditations are healing and very powerful, they will help you to think more clearly, to be more thoughtful and introspective, with the added and main benefit of the practice being the spiritual awakening of all who come into contact with this very specific type of meditation. So nice - to know that the uplifting effects of sacred yoga meditations stay with you as you journey through life.
During guided meditation, you are encouraged to breathe slowly and deeply keeping your focus inward and to simply observe the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. Of course there's alot more to it than that but just remember, you will be in a safe serene, space surrounded by the tranquil sounds of musical meditations. This process can result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.
Benefits of meditation
Meditation on powerful  sacred sound can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both your emotional well-being and your overall health.
As we mentioned before, these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day and may improve certain medical conditions.
Meditation and illness
A growing body of scientific research supports the health benefits of meditation. Studies have shown that authentic meditation is useful especially if you have a medical condition, which may be worsened by stress.

This is a non-sectarian practice, it is open to all.
Research suggests that meditation may help people manage symptoms of conditions such as:
*Anxiety disorders *Asthma *Cancer *Depression *Heart disease *High blood pressure *Pain & *Sleep problems
